Email Marketing
We do lots of email promotion. We find that this is often the most effective way to get the word out about your call. Therefore, we take this section very seriously. Here's a link to how we think about which calls you recommend to artists.
The Gist:
- Artists set up their email promotion settings in their alert section of their profile.
- From there, they can choose how often they want to receive emails from us, what they would like to see, and what they would like to see in those emails.

What We Do:
- For example, in our weekly email, we find calls that we believe are most suited for the artists on our list.
- Each individual one, we match them up with a few different calls and then email them basically saying, "Hey, you should apply to this call."
- This email goes out on a weekly and a monthly basis for artists.
- We will also email artists whenever they have previously applied to one of your shows and then one of your shows goes live.
- For example, if you posted a show in 2024, and then you post that same show in 2026, we will email all the artists that applied to that 2024 show, letting them know a new opportunity has opened up for them
Our Approach:
- We focus a lot on making sure that we are not spamming our artists.
- We want to be mindful of their preferences.
- So what we do is we ask artists to opt into each of these emails.
- We do not automatically opt anybody in.
- Instead, we ask to make sure that they want to receive the right emails and so that we know what types of emails they want to get, and then we fire them off.
