How do I add an image to my call?
It is very simple!
- Create a new call or click 'Edit' on an existing call
- Find this page and upload your image:

Now this image will appear on your call detail page, as well as the "card" on the calls list and in social media shares.
Image Recommendations
Your call image is the first thing artists see. Make it count!
Dimensions and Format
Ideal size: 1200 x 630 pixels (16:9 landscape ratio)
Format: JPEG or PNG
Orientation: Landscape/banner format (horizontal)
Why landscape? The call detail page displays your image as a wide banner at the top. Square or portrait images get cropped automatically, which can cut off important parts of your design.
What Makes a Good Call Image?
Do: - Use high-resolution images (at least 1200px wide) - Choose images that represent your exhibition theme or venue - Include your gallery branding or logo if appropriate - Use bold, readable text if adding typography - Center key visual elements horizontally (they won't get cropped)
Don't: - Upload square Instagram posts (they'll be cropped to landscape) - Use portrait-oriented images (top and bottom will be cut off) - Add important text or details to the edges (may be cropped on mobile) - Use low-resolution or pixelated images
If Your Image is Square or Portrait
Before uploading, crop it to 16:9 landscape format (1200 x 630px recommended). Center the most important visual elements horizontally so they remain visible after cropping.
Tip: Most design tools (Canva, Photoshop, etc.) have "Social Media Banner" templates at 1200 x 630px—perfect for EntryThingy calls!
