We know how frustrating it is to realize you've missed a deadline. Here's what you need to know and what options you have.

What happens when a deadline passes?

Once a call's deadline has passed:

• Draft applications can no longer be submitted — you'll see a message that the entry deadline has passed
• Submitted applications are still visible on your Applications page, but you won't be able to make edits
• New applications can't be started for that call

Can EntryThingy extend the deadline for me?

Unfortunately, no. Deadlines are set by the gallery or organization hosting the call — not by EntryThingy. We're unable to make exceptions or extend deadlines on their behalf.

What should I do?

Reach out to the gallery directly. They have the ability to:

• Extend the deadline for their call
• Accept a late submission at their discretion

You can usually find the gallery's contact information on the call page itself. Be polite, explain your situation, and ask if they'd be willing to accommodate a late entry. Many galleries are understanding, especially if it's only a day or two past the deadline.

Tips for next time

• Submit early. We recommend submitting at least a few hours before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
• Star calls you're interested in. We'll send you reminders as the deadline approaches so you don't miss it.
• Check your email. If you've started a draft, we'll send you a heads-up before the deadline passes.

What time zone are deadlines in?

All deadlines are set to 11:59 PM Pacific Time on the deadline date. If you're in a different time zone, the deadline will appear in your local time automatically. For more details, see What time do calls close?
