"Something went wrong" or Error 500 - what to do
Seeing "Oops, something went wrong" or "Error 500"? Here's how to fix it.
Quick fixes to try first
- Refresh the page - Sometimes a simple refresh fixes temporary issues
- Clear your browser cache - Old cached data can cause problems
- Try a different browser - Chrome, Firefox, or Safari
- Check your internet connection - Make sure you're online
- Try the new version - If you're on the old site (entrythingy.com), go to app.entrythingy.com/login
If you're uploading images
Large image files can sometimes cause errors. Try:
- Reducing the file size (under 10MB is best)
- Using JPG format instead of PNG or TIFF
- Uploading one image at a time
If you're submitting an entry
Make sure all required fields are filled out. Check for:
- Missing images
- Empty required text fields
- Payment not completed (if there's an entry fee)
