How do I change the category of an entry?
As an administrator, you can change the category of any entry in your call at any time. This is helpful when an artist selects the wrong category, or when you need to reorganize entries across categories.
How to Change an Entry's Category
- Log in as an Administrator and navigate to your call
- Click "Entries" to view all entries
- Click the Entry ID of the entry you want to update
- Click the "Edit" button (blue button in the top right of the entry detail page)
- Find the Category dropdown in the entry form
- Select the correct category
- Click "Save"
The category change takes effect immediately. If jurors are actively reviewing, they will see the entry under its new category the next time they load the page.
Things to Keep in Mind
- Voting is preserved. Changing an entry's category does not affect any existing jury votes or scores on that entry.
- Category filters update automatically. After the change, the entry will appear under the new category when filtering the entries list or viewing call statistics.
- Only administrators can do this. Artists cannot change their category after submitting. If an artist reaches out asking to switch categories, you can make the change on their behalf using the steps above.
