I just paid for my entry and my status still shows 'Not Submitted'

This is almost always a temporary delay. Entry fees are processed through PayPal, and it can take a few minutes for PayPal to notify EntryThingy that your payment went through. In most cases, your status will update on its own shortly after paying.

What to Do

  1. Wait a few minutes and refresh the page. Most payments are confirmed within 5-10 minutes.
  2. Check your email for a PayPal receipt. If you received a payment confirmation from PayPal, your payment did go through -- EntryThingy just hasn't received the notification yet.
  3. Wait up to a few hours. In some cases, depending on how the gallery has configured their PayPal account, the notification can take longer to arrive.
  4. If it's been more than a few hours, contact the gallery directly. You can find their contact information on the call listing page where you submitted your entry. Let them know you've paid and include your PayPal receipt or confirmation email. They can verify the payment on their end and manually update your entry status.

Why EntryThingy Can't Help With This Directly

Entry fee payments go directly from you to the gallery through PayPal. EntryThingy does not process, hold, or have access to these payments. Because of this, only the gallery can verify your payment and update your status if the automatic notification doesn't come through.

Preventing This in the Future

After paying, stay on the confirmation page until it finishes loading. Closing the browser or navigating away too quickly can sometimes interrupt the payment notification process.
