Can I preview the call before it goes live?

Yes! EntryThingy makes it easy to preview your call and test the full submission experience before artists see it.

Use "Add Demo Entry" to Test the Artist Experience

Once you've set up your call with the settings you want:

1. Click on the call from your dashboard to open the call page
2. You'll see an "Add Demo Entry" option — click it
3. This walks you through the entire submission flow exactly as an artist would experience it

The demo account comes pre-loaded with sample data, but otherwise it behaves exactly like a real artist account. You'll see every step: uploading images, filling in piece details, answering custom questions, and submitting. This is a very accurate representation of what artists will see.

Feel free to make tweaks to your call settings and test again as many times as you need.

Preview Hidden or Unpublished Calls

If your call isn't published yet (or is hidden from the public listing), you can still preview it as an admin. Just navigate to the call from your dashboard — admins always have access to their own calls regardless of visibility settings. This lets you fine-tune everything before going live.

Test with a Demo User Account

For a more thorough test, you can create a separate demo user account and go through the process as a real artist would. This is especially useful if you want to verify what confirmation emails look like or test how the call appears to someone who isn't logged in as an admin. Just sign up with a different email address and submit an entry to your call.
