How do I change my email, password, or other profile information?
You can update your profile information and change your password from your profile page. Here's how to do it.
Accessing Your Profile
- Log in to your EntryThingy account
- Click "Profile" in the top navigation menu
- Click "Edit" to edit your profile

Updating Profile Information
On the profile edit page, you can update:
- Name: First name and last name
- Email address: Your login email (must be unique)
- Phone number: Your contact phone
- City and State: Your location
- Country: Select your country from the dropdown
- Website: Your artist website or portfolio URL
- Instagram: Your Instagram handle
- Artist Statement: A description of your work and artistic practice
After making changes, click "Save Profile" at the bottom of the page.
Changing Your Password
You can change your password on the same profile edit page:
- Scroll to the "Change Password" section
- Enter your new password in the "New Password" field
- Re-enter the same password in the "Confirm Password" field
- Click "Save Profile"
Password requirements: - Must be at least 6 characters long - Both password fields must match - You don't need to enter your current password (we've simplified this for ease of use)
After successfully changing your password, you'll receive a confirmation email letting you know your password was updated.
Changing Your Email Address
To change your email address:
- Update the Email field on your profile edit page
- Click "Save Profile"
Important notes about email changes: - Each EntryThingy account must have a unique email address - You can't change your email to one that's already being used by another account - Your email is used for logging in, so remember your new email address after changing it - You'll receive notifications and important updates at your email address
Email Preferences
On the profile edit page, you can also control what emails you receive from EntryThingy:
- All emails: Receive all notifications and updates
- Only important emails: Receive only critical account notifications
- No emails: Opt out of all emails (not recommended - you may miss important updates about your entries)
Troubleshooting
"Email is already in use" - This means another EntryThingy account is already using that email address - Try a different email address, or contact support if you believe this is your account
"Passwords do not match" - Make sure you've entered the exact same password in both the "New Password" and "Confirm Password" fields - Check for typos or extra spaces
"Password must be at least 6 characters" - Your new password needs to be 6 or more characters long - Consider using a memorable phrase or combination
Changes aren't saving - Make sure you click the "Save Profile" button at the bottom of the page - Check for any error messages at the top of the page - If you're changing your password, both password fields must be filled in
