How do I control who can see my call?

Understanding Call Visibility in EntryThingy

EntryThingy gives you control over who can see your calls and when. Here's how it works:

Publishing Your Call

When creating or editing a call, you control visibility through the Dates & Deadlines section:

Publish Call Immediately - Check this box to make your call visible to artists right away - This is equivalent to the old "Show to entrants and jury" status from v1

Publish Date - Set a specific date when your call should become visible - The call will be hidden until that date, then automatically publish - Useful for scheduling announcements in advance

Neither option selected - Your call will be hidden from both artists and jurors - Equivalent to the old "Do not show to entrants or jury" status from v1 - Useful while you're still setting up the call

Hiding from the Public Calls List

Even if your call is published, you can keep it off our public calls list. In the Promotional Materials section:

Add this call to our public Calls List? - Set to "Yes" - Your call appears in the public directory where artists browse for opportunities - Set to "No" - Your call is hidden from public listings, but people with the direct link can still access it

This is useful for: - Member-only calls - Invitation-only opportunities - Calls you want to share privately

What Happened to "Show to Jury Only"?

If you're transitioning from EntryThingy v1, you might notice the "Show to jury only" status option is no longer available in v2.

In v1, you could set calls to: - "Do not show to entrants or jury" - "Show to entrants and jury" - "Show to jury only"

In v2, we simplified this to two publishing states: - Published (visible to artists and jurors) - Hidden (not visible to anyone)
