A legacy PayPal subscription is an older subscription that was set up directly through PayPal before EntryThingy moved to Stripe for payment processing. These subscriptions are still active and working, but they're managed differently than newer subscriptions.
How Can I Tell If I Have One?
You have a legacy PayPal subscription if: - You originally subscribed before EntryThingy switched to Stripe (around 2024) - Your subscription shows as active but you don't see Stripe payment details - You manage payments through PayPal's website, not EntryThingy - You see "PayPal" as your payment provider
How Legacy Subscriptions Work
What this means for you: - Your subscription works exactly the same as newer subscriptions - You get the same storage and features (Basic, Standard, or Connoisseur) - All Artwork Management features work the same - Pixel Prep access is included - The only difference is where you manage payments
Payment management: - Payments are automatically charged through PayPal each month/year - You manage billing through your PayPal account (not EntryThingy) - Your subscription stays active as long as PayPal charges go through successfully

Your artwork stays safe: - Nothing is deleted when you switch - Your pieces remain in your portfolio - You can resubscribe immediately through Stripe
What Happens If I Cancel?
If you cancel your legacy PayPal subscription:
Immediate effects: - Subscription remains active until end of current billing period - You keep all benefits until the period ends
After cancellation: - Plan reverts to Free tier (3 pieces) - Storage limit drops to 3 pieces - Pixel Prep access is removed - Your artwork is NOT deleted - it stays in your portfolio
To resubscribe: - Use Stripe checkout on your Subscription page - Choose Basic, Standard, or Connoisseur plan - Benefits restore immediately after payment
Managing Your Legacy Subscription
To cancel: 1. Log in to paypal.com 2. Go to Settings → Payments → Manage automatic payments 3. Find EntryThingy in the list 4. Click Cancel or Cancel automatic payments
To update payment method: - Log in to PayPal and update your payment method there - Your EntryThingy subscription will continue using the updated PayPal payment method
To check status: - Log in to EntryThingy and check your Subscription page - You'll see your current plan and storage limit - Contact support if status looks incorrect
