What is Pixel Prep?

Pixel Prep is an image optimization tool for Artwork Management subscribers that prepares your artwork images for different uses. Instead of manually resizing and compressing images for Instagram, jury submissions, or other platforms, Pixel Prep does it automatically with optimized settings for each use case.

What Does Pixel Prep Do?

Pixel Prep takes your artwork images and optimizes them using professionally-configured presets. Each preset is designed for specific requirements like social media dimensions, jury submission standards, or web display optimization.

Available Presets

Instagram Square - Creates perfect 1080×1080px square images - Optimized for Instagram posts under 4MB - Smart cropping to maintain the most important parts of your artwork

Jury Submission - Resizes to 1920px on the longest side - Optimizes file size to 1-2MB (the sweet spot most juries prefer) - EntryThingy checks pixel dimensions only — DPI is irrelevant for web display

Web Display - Optimized for website galleries and online portfolios - Balances image quality with fast loading times - Perfect for embedding on your website

Email Newsletter - Smaller file sizes ideal for email attachments - Maintains quality while ensuring quick load times - Prevents emails from being flagged as too large

Quick Compress - Reduces file size by 70% while keeping original dimensions - Great for storage optimization and faster uploads - Maintains your artwork's aspect ratio and dimensions

How to Access Pixel Prep

1. Go to Portfolio in the navigation menu (or visit app.entrythingy.com/artist/artwork/)
2. Click the "Pixel Prep" button at the top of the page
3. Upload an image and choose your desired preset
4. Download the optimized version

Pixel Prep is available exclusively to Artwork Management subscribers. If you're on the free plan, you can upgrade to access this feature along with expanded storage for your artwork portfolio.
