How does starring and bookmarking work?
EntryThingy offers two bookmarking features to help you keep track of calls and entries you're interested in.
Starring Calls (For Artists)
What it is: Starring lets you bookmark calls you're interested in applying to, making them easy to find later.
How to star a call: - On any call card or call detail page, click the star icon - The star will fill in to show it's starred - Click again to unstar
Where starred calls appear: - On your artist dashboard - In the calls list with a filter option to show only starred calls - Starred calls are marked with a filled star icon
Use this to: Keep track of calls you want to apply to, especially if you're browsing many opportunities and want to come back to specific ones later.
Note: Only artists can star calls. Jurors and administrators have different workflows and don't need this feature.
Bookmarking Entries and Pieces (For Jurors and Admins)
What it is: During jury review, you can bookmark specific entries or pieces to review later or compare.
How to bookmark: - In the jury interface, click the bookmark icon on any entry or piece - The bookmark will highlight to show it's bookmarked - Click again to remove the bookmark
Where bookmarks appear: - In the jury interface, you can filter to show only bookmarked entries/pieces - Bookmarks help you quickly return to entries you want to compare or review again
Use this to: Mark entries or pieces that stand out during jury review, compare similar submissions, or keep track of items you want to discuss with other jurors.
Note: Bookmarks are personal—each juror/admin has their own bookmarks. They're not shared with other reviewers.
Tips
- Star calls early: When browsing calls, star ones you're interested in so you can easily find them later
- Use bookmarks during jurying: Bookmark entries/pieces as you review to create a shortlist for final decisions
- Filter by starred/bookmarked: Use the filter options to quickly see only your starred calls or bookmarked entries
