The gallery ran out of tokens - what do I do?

Seeing a message that the gallery has "reached their submission token limit" or "Applications Temporarily Paused"? Here's what that means.

What happened?

Galleries purchase tokens to receive submissions. When a gallery's token balance gets too low (below -10 tokens), new submissions are temporarily blocked. This is not your fault - it's something the gallery needs to fix on their end by purchasing more tokens.

What should I do?

  1. Contact the gallery directly - Let them know you're trying to submit but seeing this error. They can purchase more tokens quickly.
  2. Save your work - Your entry draft should be saved. You won't lose your progress.
  3. Try again later - Once the gallery adds more tokens, you'll be able to submit.

Will I miss the deadline?

If the deadline is approaching and you can't submit due to this error, contact the gallery immediately. Most galleries will extend your deadline or find another solution if their token shortage prevented your submission.

How do I contact the gallery?

Look for contact information on the call page, or search for the gallery/organization's website. You can also email us at hello@entrythingy.com and we'll help connect you.
