My password reset isn't working

Reset your password but still getting "Invalid email or password"? Here's what to check.

Most common cause: V1 vs V2

The #1 reason password resets don't work is logging into the wrong version of EntryThingy.

Always use: app.entrythingy.com/login

If you reset your password on the old version (entrythingy.com) but try to log in on the new version (app.entrythingy.com), it won't work. Reset your password again using the "Forgot Password" link at app.entrythingy.com/login.

Check your email

  • Did you receive the password reset email? Check your spam/junk folder
  • The email contains your new password - look for the line that says "Your new password is:"
  • Copy the password exactly as shown (it's case-sensitive)

How password reset works

When you reset your password, EntryThingy generates a new secure password and emails it to you immediately. There's no link to click - just use the password from the email to log in. You can change it to something memorable in your profile settings after logging in.

Try these steps

  1. Go to app.entrythingy.com/login
  2. Click "Forgot Password"
  3. Enter your email and request a new password
  4. Check your email (including spam folder) for the new password
  5. Copy the password from the email exactly as shown
  6. Log in at app.entrythingy.com/login using the new password
  7. Once logged in, you can change your password in your profile settings if you'd like

Still not working?
