Do I need to update my website widget code for V2?
If you have EntryThingy embedded on your website from the old version (V1), here's what you need to know about updating to V2.
Do I need new code?
Yes, we recommend updating your embed code to use the new V2 widget. The old code will continue to work for now, but V2 offers:
- Faster loading times
- Better mobile support
- Improved reliability
- New features
How to get the new code
- Log in to your admin dashboard at app.entrythingy.com
- Hover over the Tools dropdown menu in the navigation bar, then click Gallery Widget (or visit app.entrythingy.com/gallery-widget/ directly)
- Select the call you want to embed
- Configure your widget display options (columns, width, sorting, etc.)
- Copy the generated HTML code from the code box
- Replace the old code on your website with the new one
What if I use Wix, WordPress, or Squarespace?
The process is the same - just paste the new embed code into your HTML embed block or custom code section. See our specific guides:
When will V1 stop working?
V1 was shut down at the end of March 2026. Please update your widget code to V2 as soon as possible.
