How can I add custom questions to my call?

1. Navigate to Your Call

Go to Calls → [Your Call Name] → Edit Call


If creating a new call, click Create New Call first.

2. Scroll to the Custom Questions Section

On the call edit page, scroll down until you see "Custom Questions"

3. Click "Add Question"

Click the blue "Add Question" button to create your first question.

A new question card will appear with several fields:


4. Fill in the Question Details

Question Text (required)

  • What you want to ask artists
  • Example: "What are your shipping preferences?"
  • Keep it short and clear

Question Type (required)

  • Choose from the dropdown:
    • Text - Short answer (200 characters)
    • Textarea - Long answer (1000 characters)
    • Yes/No - Binary choice
    • Multiple Choice (select one) - Radio buttons
    • Checkboxes (select multiple) - Multiple selections

Required (checkbox)

  • Check this box if artists must answer this question
  • Leave unchecked for optional questions

Options (only for Multiple Choice and Checkboxes)

  • Enter one option per line
  • Example:
May 1-5
May 6-10
May 11-15
  • Max 100 options, 500 characters each

5. Add More Questions (Optional)

To add another question, click "Add Question" again.


Repeat step 4 for each question.


Tip: Questions appear in the order you create them. Plan your order before adding.


6. Delete a Question (If Needed)

Each question card has a "Delete Question" button at the bottom.


Click it to remove a question.

Warning: If artists have already submitted answers, deleting a question will orphan those answers (they're saved but not displayed).


7. Save Your Call

Scroll to the bottom and click "Save Call"


Your custom questions are now live! Artists will see them when they apply.




What Happens Next?

  1. Artists see your questions when they click "Apply to Show"
  2. Questions appear inline on the application form (after standard fields)
  3. Answers are saved when artists submit or save drafts
  4. You can view answers in Entry Detail or CSV export
