Can I use the online and offline jury presentations simultaneously?
Yes, you can use both at the same time — and many galleries do. Here's how the two options work together.
What "Online" Means
The online jury presentation is the built-in jury view inside EntryThingy. Jurors log in to their accounts, browse entries on screen, and cast their votes directly in the system. All scores and decisions are tracked automatically.
What "Offline" Means
The offline jury presentation refers to reviewing artwork outside of EntryThingy — typically by projecting downloaded images during an in-person meeting or printing physical copies for jurors to review on a table. You can download entry images from the call's admin panel for this purpose.
Using Both Together
A common setup for in-person jury sessions: display the offline presentation on a projector so everyone in the room sees the same image, and have each juror log in to EntryThingy on a laptop or tablet to cast their votes. Both presentations display entries in the same order, so they stay in sync.
This gives you the best of both worlds — a shared visual experience in the room, plus all votes captured digitally in EntryThingy.
One Thing to Keep in Mind
Votes cast through the online jury view are automatically recorded in EntryThingy. If jurors make decisions during an offline-only review (such as a show of hands or paper ballots), those results need to be entered into EntryThingy manually afterward. Using the combined approach described above avoids this extra step.
